Vegans from Avery Ranch to Travis Country will flood Central Austin on Saturday March 31st, 2012 for Texas VegFest, a statewide festival celebrating the joys of plant-based eating.
Held in beautiful Fiesta Gardens West End, the festival will involve a host of lakeside activities, free samples and prizes. Watch cooking demos by bestselling author Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero, or find clarity through meditation with the Isha Foundation. Dr. Michael Gregor will present on practical ways to protect a family’s health, while bodybuilder Robert Cheeke gets attendees motivated to exercise!
Texas Vegfest starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Sponsored by Whole Foods Market, visitors to the festival will enjoy delicious, cruelty-free vegetarian cuisine while watching their children play games and listening to great local bands (Lincoln Durham, Wheel Workers, Roxy Roca)!
