O’Henry Middle School will have its largest fundraiser of the year on Friday, September 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The O’Henry Round-Up is a family friendly event that includes carnival games, sports booths, food, a raffle, and a dance for the middle school students. There will also be a photo booth, temporary tattoos, a dunking booth, a bungee run, ring toss, and more.
The fundraiser helps supply teacher wishlist items that directly benefit the classrooms, such as updated teaching equipment and technology tools for classrooms, science equipment and supplies, books and audiobooks for the library, technology and literacy materials for reading support, substitute teacher support, field trips for special areas, and musical instruments and equipment for fine arts electives.
Tickets for the game booths will be available at the event or may be pre-ordered through the school. Tickets are 50 cents each and also can be purchased as a $5 card for a ten-pack. $20 wristbands allow for unlimited access to all booths. Most booths and games are two tickets. Food and drinks will be cash only.
Volunteer opportunities are available, including chaperoning the dance, supervising the game booths, working the drink stations, and general support. Shifts are available for sign-up at http://signup.com/go/scFPGL or by emailing Jennifer Banda at jbanda@tha.org.
